Common Trouble is a rock band based in LA. In January 2021 Common Trouble released their new single known as "Epidemic".  Epidemic is a very uplifting, fun song that you can't help but to move your body to the music. The lyrics and vocals are catchy as hell and will get stuck in your head. The two vocalists compliment each other well, bringing on excellent harmonies, which are very pleasing to the ears. The bass provides the perfect tone, blending well with the bright, warm sound of the guitars and the drums. This just shows you can still have fun even in the darkest of times. Today we would like to introduce you to the glam rock band that is rocking out of Nottingham, England, known as Venomous Rose. Venomous Rose debut single "The Devil Is A Friend Of Mine" is out now (released in January 2021) and we know you all are going to love it! From the strong guitars that are accompanied by solid drumming, good beat from the bass and a singer that has great vocals, that hit a range of notes.  This is the first glam rock band we have had on the Music Misfit blog and we have to say we where blown away with how good this single is. It takes you back to a time when glam rock was at it's high, the single will have you bopping your head and dancing to the beat.   Today we would like to introduce you all to Michael, Ian, Brian, Simon and Andy who form the band known as "Shotgun 21". This five piece new wave rock band, from West Sussex England, formed in 2013 and have released four EPs and have also released one album, with plans of bringing out a new album for fans to enjoy later this year. This band have a very good mix of songs that give off punk rock vibes. With a strong vocalist, powerful guitars, strong bass and a hard hitting drummer they have created a lot of amazing songs that will be highly enjoyed by many and we are very much looking forward to hearing new music from this band in the near future. Today we would like to introduce you all to a rock n roll, garage band from North Carolina: Lord Ouroboros. Lord Ouroboros is a two man band that have produced songs with dominating and heavy guitar riffs, matched with great drum beats and very grungy, Rob Zombie vibe style vocals. Lord Ouroboros have quite a few videos up on YouTube that we have quite enjoyed listening to and know a lot of our readers will too. Unfortunately it does look like the band are not overly active on their Facebook  but we still suggest heading over there to give them a little like and follow to keep up with their events and of course to show some support for the band.   Today we would like to introduce you all to the Texas band known as Cymblem. This talented group of guys have been going strong since 2005 when the band was created by Chad (vocals/guitar) and Chris (guitar/vocals), then later came Matt (bass/vocals) and Andrew (drums) to form Cymblem as we know them. This upbeat band have been through a lot, they lost almost all their equipment when hurricane Ike hit but these guys powered through and have over come everything that has been thrown at them and have come out stronger than ever and have managed to produce music that has meaningful lyrics with a fantastic mix of rocking sounds that will get your attention and having you up and moving to the beat. This rock band have a lot of spirit and energy doing up to 4 hour sets for their fans.   Rocking out of Chicago, Illinois, are a band known as Isolated Brigade. This band have a very unique and interesting sound, with quite raw sounding vocals and a nice steady beat from the drums, guitar and bass all harmonizing together to create a classic rock kind of style with a slight mix of modern styles.  Today we would like to introduce a new band known as Pulse. This band hail from Mexico and in January 2021 the band released their debut album, known as "Impulse", which has a mixture of very emotional styles of lyrics and sounds that give you a different kind of vibes with each song.  The song writers have clearly went with a very personal and emotional style when creating their music, laid bare for the world to see, which is quite refreshing to hear and very different from most of the rock music we have heard so far on this blog. The band seem to focus heavily on their sound to match the feelings from the lyrics that are being sung, creating an album that will just hit you with waves of emotions.   Today we would like to present Burning Codes. Burning Codes is the solo project of Paul Archer who has produced six albums, his music has been featured on BBC Radio One: Evening Session, BBC6 Music and even been in the 2015 movie called A Patch Of Fog. Paul has also contributed vocals to five tracks on Snow Patrols award winning album "Eyes Open". We had a listen to Burning codes and we have to say that Paul's music is great: The deep bass drives forward with moving bass riffs melding nicely with clean guitar melodies.  It is pleasant to the ears, bursting into a feeling of chaos, with a passionate voice reaching out to you. You can feel the emotion emanating from his words. Whether it is clean or distorted guitar the melodies and riffs just rock. Today we would like to introduce you to a band known as Del Mar. Del Mar started in 2020 with members Kyle (on drums), Jon (on bass), Justyn (on guitar) and Marco (on vocals). These guys have been working hard and are in the process of working on two more songs for their fans to enjoy. Del Mar have a very energetic, upbeat, bouncing kind of sound, I guess you could brand them as quite punk/rock sounding, imagine along the lines of a mix of green day, new found glory and blink 182 mixed together to create a great sound and fantastic fun music that is just pure ear candy. We would highly recommend Del Mar to all those who are in seek of a new band to listen to that will lift their spirits and wish to embrace some uplifting punk rock style music.   Today we would like to introduce you all to a band known as 25th Mission. Rocking hard out of Long Island, NY, this traditional metal band released their new album "Disciples Of Metal" in July 2020 and are currently working on new music which is estimated for release in the 1st quarter of 2022. We had a listen of the bands new album "Disciples Of Metal" and the EP "Necessary Evil" (that the band released in 2019) and we have to say this is one band you all are going to highly enjoy, it has something for everyone from great lyrics, raw but clear vocals, heavy bass, amazing guitar solos and of course some energy fueled drumming.  The songs are all very traditional metal styles and highly energetic that will grab your attention, the band also have a very Maiden and Priest mixed with a Sabbath feel to their music which if you love these heavy rock/metal bands then we could not recommend any other band better suited than 25th Mission. Today we would like to introduce you all to Matt, Adam and Kev who make up this amazing, upbeat and heavy sounding rock band known as "Matt Long & The Revenant Ones". This hard hitting rock band have been working hard to get their debut album, "The Other Side", created and out there but due to the current pandemic had to have this pushed back. However, I am pleased to announce the band shall be releasing the album in Spring of this year and I assure you all it is not one you are going to want to miss.   Higgs Fields debut album "Paracusia" is out now! This progressive rock and metal four piece band from South Australia released their debut album on the 4th January 2021 and have such amazing reviews from places such as "The Independent", 3.5/5 and "HEAVY Magazine", 9/10.  We highly recommend this band for all you lovers of progressive rock music.   Today we would love to introduce you to this amazing four piece band from the South of England that is known as "Omega Initiative, who have their new debut EP out TODAY!  Omega initiative is keeping it nice and heavy with their new EP “Ouroboros”.  The clean vocals mixed in with the powerful screams show how diverse their range can be.   The harmonies and melodies are excellent treat to the ears.   The guitar riffs are full of technique and catchy melodies melding well with the thick bass making for an excellent heavy backdrop with electrifying drums propelling them forward. The breakdowns are a fantastic shift slowing you down for a moment before slamming it into 5 th gear for the final haul. The lyrics are like poetry slammed in your face with high velocity. Well let us tell you a little about this amazing band; Sweetwood Amber Remedy started as a project by Cody Vaillant (ex Toronto Wildheart frontman) which has bloomed into a passion. This independent singer and song writer, who hails from Toronto Ontario Canada, has self produced the album which features nine energetic, retro style songs that are filled with rock rifts and amazing vocals. These guys have only been around for about six month but they have jumped in head first and are powering their way through. With already seven songs listed up on their YouTube channel they show no signs of slowing down and are really positively pushing themselves forward with their music. This creative musician, Oyvind, is a Norwegian singer and song writer who first got into music through doing poetry. He has studied at music college for three years then done one year at Trodertun (Music School), has sung opera and has been in two bands previous and is now a solo artist who released his first album at the end of July 2020 called "Momentum". This artist has stated that he find that "music helps forget about struggles" so he has put his heart and soul into creating music and has produced a great album with some fantastic heartfelt songs. The first release from this album was "All The Love" (which you can see the video below), his soft voice mixed with very emotional and creative lyrics will be enjoyed by many who love soft rock style music.   Brass Monkey is an acoustic, solo artist from North East England, UK, who performs a range of covers and original music with a very interesting grungy, rock mixed with a blues style which is very unique and extremely catchy! His recent released single titled "Breadline" (video for which can be seen below) is currently #13 in the eTunesUK top 20 (however reached #3 last week, which I am sure you shall all will agree is very well deserved).
